This week's assignment was a little bit frustrating for me because my camera doesn't like to use it's "macro feature". It's cute, the screen shows me a beautifully framed macro shot that would be perfect and when I try to

take the picture, it says "too close to focus"!!! So I had to play with the manual focus, shutter speed, f-stops, etc. until I could get something usable. I did like the way the stalk of my sunflower plant came out, but I wasn't totally happy with the overall results so I tried the scanning process. That was frustrating as well because my scanner somehow captures a

heavily lined and gray background when the lid is left open. Lots of digital editing needed to be done to those! I was a little bit happier with those results, but overall I'm thinking that I need better equipment to capture what I'd like when taking macro shots. Please be kind in judging these!!!
Jackie,
ReplyDeleteI have to say that this last daisy is exquisite! Your efforts paid off for this one. Great shot.
Good for you to try the scanner!
ReplyDeleteI like the effect of putting a black background. I have to figure out how to do that. Love the shots!
